    Government Proposal Writer

    Full Job Description

    We are currently seeking a sharp and highly experienced proposal writer with capture managing skills who is well versed in evaluating government solicitation and articulating solid proposal responses. Our ideal candidate will:


    • Develop compliant, persuasive, and high-quality proposals to address all requirements contained within customer solicitations.

    • Lead capture efforts and engage with Business Development and executive management to validate readiness to develop the proposal.

    • Develop management plans, sustainability plans, work plans,

    • Coordinate with the team members to assemble proposal response schedules.

    • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

    • Analyze the draft and final RFI, RFP, RFQ, SOW, modifications, amendments, and other solicitation materials and develop questions to the customer based on the evaluation of SMEs.

    • Develop the proposal schedule, create proposal outlines and templates, and distribute proposal-related materials.

    • Proactively assemble or create draft content in advance of the RFP. Write standard proposal materials.

    • Delegate tasks to Proposal assistant writers/editors when needed.

    • Develop and engage in evaluating questions and responses to better understand the requirements and convey the summary to team decision makers.

    • Integrate proposal team products into the final proposal submission, perform technical editing of all proposal material.

    • Initiate proposal reviews and ensure a compliant proposal response.

    • Format proposal documents produce the final proposal and deliver the final proposal.

    • Maintain the proposal knowledge base, identify, and implement process improvements.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus 3-5-years of related experience in proposal writing, proposal development/management, capture management for Federal government contract especially.

    • Working knowledge and experience preparing pricing models, schedules and cost estimates is highly desired.

    • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to compose, edit and integrate simple, diverse, or complex information elements. Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multitask multiple proposals simultaneously.


    Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, Govtribe/Deltek desired.

    Proposal Preparation skills: Proposal compliance matrix development, proposal template development, past performance write-ups, technical volume and pricing volume, original content development, technical editing, document formatting, managing a document control system such as SharePoint, white glove expertise.
